Regulation: EN 378-x
TN (Normal Temperature) cold rooms operate between 0°C and +12°C. These cold storage rooms are made with prefabricated panels offering high thermal insulation, sealed doors, and refrigeration systems designed to maintain the desired internal temperature consistently.
TN cold rooms can be constructed with or without flooring.
- Available Insulation Options:
PIR (polyisocyanurate) polyurethane foam, 40 kg/m³ density, panel thickness from 70 mm to 120 mm. Panels joined using eccentric hooks.
Ideal for small areas. - Continuous PIR foam panels, with thicknesses ranging from 60 mm to 240 mm.
Dry or foamed joints depending on panel thickness and internal temperature.
Ideal for large areas. - Oriented mineral wool, class “0” or “d0”, continuous panel with tongue-and-groove joints. Available in thicknesses of 100 mm, 150 mm, 160 mm, and 200 mm. Ideal for wide surfaces.
Cold Room Features:
-
Self-supporting structures with certified walkable ceilings
-
Internal and external finishes available in: pre-painted or plastic-coated sheet metal, AISI 304 stainless steel, or fiberglass
Refrigeration System
- Monoblock units for rooms up to 50 m³
- Split systems with outdoor weatherproof condensing units, capacities ranging from 5 kW to 600 kW
- Control modes: ON/OFF or inverter-based
- Multi-compressor systems from 300 kW to 600 kW
Refrigerants
In compliance with increasingly stringent regulations on greenhouse gas refrigerants, we offer solutions designed to reduce refrigerant usage and/or use GWP = 0 refrigerants.
Refrigeration Units
Indirect fluid systems, suitable for temperatures ranging from +12°C to -5°C. These consist of a chiller producing an eutectic solution to optimize refrigeration efficiency. A pumping station circulates the fluid to the room evaporators.
This setup allows heat recovery, otherwise lost to the external environment, to produce hot water (~40°C) for defrosting cycles or other uses.
Direct expansion refrigeration units using low-GWP F-gas
Direct expansion pumped-fluid systems, single or multi-compressor, operating in subcritical or transcritical CO₂ cycles
Evaporators
Cubic or dual-flow evaporators, with direct or indirect air discharge
Control Systems
User-friendly microprocessor controls
Electronic thermostatic valves to enhance evaporator cooling efficiency
Axial and/or radial fans with EC (electronically commutated) technology
